black history 365 days calendar: Black History Should Be Taught 365 Days A Year Jasper Cephus, 2021-06-08 Black history is unknown to so many people, just me alone cannot reach them all with my book. Black humans have more historical information than any other people in the world. The study of Black history has become a branch of knowledge that feeds the world religious and spiritual life. Control media use deceptive words or actions to coverup the truth about Black history. There have been intentional destructions of ancient Black historical statues, art, and documents written in stone. Fortunately, some of the Black history survived and that proved much of Black history is hidden, then falsely recreated in the images of white people. This is damaging to the young Black and White children. 1. White children are living a false sense of superiority complex for life. 2. Black children living, haven their identity stolen from them is psychologically depressing. I wrote this book to heighten the awareness around the world what has been done around to over 150,000 years of civilized Black history. 1. recreating ancient statues in the images of white people. 2. Changing the color of ancient art . 3. Stop defacing ancient statues. 4 Remove racist lies in the good book. That is why I wrote: Black History Should Be 365 Days A Year.

black history 365 days calendar: THANKS TO YOU Mary Alice Beasley, 2013-09 Warren Edward Armstrong Jabali was my hero. In the hearts of his family and friends across the country, he was a superstar. Known for his basketball feats at Central High School (1962-1964), Wichita State University (1964-1968), and in the American Basketball Association (ABA) 1968-1976, this book presents an uplifting story of how a man, labeled as one of the two meanest men in the ABA, overcame the vilification of his character. By positively channeling his energy on the educational empowerment of African American youth, he became an extraordinary role model and father figure for many in South Florida. Divided into two sections, the first part of the book is Warren's incomplete manuscript. He described the wide ranging cultural attitudes, political environment and social conditions which motivated his actions and profoundly affected his basketball career. it is supplemented by newspaper articles and interviews in which he discussed various controversial topics and elaborated on the skills and legacies of his contemporaries. The last half is written by the love of his life. A very complex and private person, the section illustrates multiple aspects of his personality which portray an intimate understanding of him that only someone he cherished could ever reveal. This narrative validates the strength of his character as he boldly faced personal challenges. It demonstrates his unwavering commitment to education as he persevered in his lifelong pursuit for equality. Additionally, it highlights how benevolent his interpersonal relationships were as he journeyed along the road less traveled

black history 365 days calendar: Black Gun, Silver Star Art T. Burton, 2022-09 In The Story of Oklahoma, Deputy U.S. Marshal Bass Reeves appears as the most feared U.S. marshal in the Indian country. That Reeves was also an African American who had spent his early life enslaved in Arkansas and Texas made his accomplishments all the more remarkable. Black Gun, Silver Star sifts through fact and legend to discover the truth about one of the most outstanding peace officers in late nineteenth-century America--and perhaps the greatest lawman of the Wild West era. Bucking the odds (I'm sorry, we didn't keep Black people's history, a clerk at one of Oklahoma's local historical societies answered one query), Art T. Burton traces Reeves from his days of slavery to his Civil War soldiering to his career as a deputy U.S. marshal out of Fort Smith, Arkansas, when he worked under Hanging Judge Isaac C. Parker. Fluent in Creek and other regional Native languages, physically powerful, skilled with firearms, and a master of disguise, Reeves was exceptionally adept at apprehending fugitives and outlaws and his exploits were legendary in Oklahoma and Arkansas. In this new edition Burton traces Reeves's presence in the national media of his day as well as his growing modern presence in popular media such as television, movies, comics, and video games.

black history 365 days calendar: The Fortney Encyclical Black History Albert Fortney Jr., 2016-01-15 The Encyclical Black History has been created for the critical and lack of vital Afro-Centric Multi-Curriculum text in urban school systems and is a necessity for African Americans. This book was created with careful and serious attention to biographical names that identifies history, culture as well as biblical characters. The reason why of this encyclical history can be explained with the facts and proof/evidence of the following. The point that has socio-psychological implications at the unconscious as well as the conscious level is the great little white racist lie, seen long enough, becomes the truth; like, portraying a white Jesus Christ who was a black man. Dr. Alvin Poussaint, a Black psychiatrist associated with Harvard University and others have observed and explained the most tragic part of all of this is that the African American has come to form his self image and self-concept on the basis of what white racists have laid down as a guide or prescribed. Therefore, black men and women learn quickly to hate themselves and each other more than their white oppressor. There is almost infinite evidence that racism has left almost irreparable scars on the psyche of Afro-Americans that burden with an unrelenting, painful anxiety that drives the psyche to reach out for a sense of identity and self-esteem. Poussaint and others say that black children, especially learn to hate themselves at very early ages. Studies reveal their preference for white dolls over black ones. One study reported that black children in their drawings tend to show blacks as small, incomplete people and whites as strong and powerful. To conclude, in western color symbolism white is positive and black negative. Many people might ask why the contributions of Africa should be included in American curriculum? Is because they bleach and still rob black history and culture with black pictured as white that lie, leaves us mentally-dead, angry, and without purpose, of where we are going! Human culture is the product of all humanity, not the possession of a single racial or ethnic group. Afro-centric Multicultural educations major aim is to close the gap between Western ideals of equality, justice and practices that contradict these ideas. Stereotype people of color and people who are poor have just about no opportunities to become free of perspectives that are monoculture, that devalue African culture victimize them mostly having an inability to fully, function effectively in society. Many of these problems could be miraculously remedied with astonishing results if explained of black scientific achievements, which occurred in black Africa. There are also white African Americans living in the U.S.A. besides black African Americans, should make the distinction. Carl Sandburg (1979) related a dialogue between a white American and an American Indian which illustrates the need for multicultural education: The white man drew a small circle in the sand and told the red man, This is what the Indian knows, and drawing a big circle around the small one, this is what is what the white man knows. The Indian then took the stick and swept an immensely big ring around both circles and said, this is where the white man and the red man knows nothing.

black history 365 days calendar: When the World Was Black Part One Supreme Understanding, 2013-02-02 When the World Was Black: The Untold History of the World’s First Civilizations (Volume Two of The Science of Self series) has been published in TWO parts. Why two? Because there are far too many stories that remain untold. We had over 200,000 years of Black history to tell – from the southern tip of Chile to the northernmost isles of Europe – and you can’t do that justice in a 300-page book. So there are two parts, each consisting of 360 pages of groundbreaking history, digging deep into the story of all the world’s original people. Part One covers the Black origins of all the world’s oldest cultures and societies, spanning more than 200,000 years of human history. Part Two tells the stories of the Black men and women who introduced urban civilization to the world over the last 20,000 years, up to the time of European contact. Each part has over 100 helpful maps, graphs, and photos, an 8-page full-color insert in the center, and over 300 footnotes and references for further research. “In this book, you’ll learn about the history of Black people. I don’t mean the history you learned in school, which most likely began with slavery and ended with the Civil Rights Movement. I’m talking about Black history BEFORE that. Long before that. In this book, we’ll cover over 200,000 years of Black history. For many of us, that sounds strange. We can’t even imagine what the Black past was like before the slave trade, much less imagine that such a history goes back 200,000 years or more.” “Part Two covers history from 20,000 years ago to the point of European contact. This is the time that prehistoric cultures grew into ancient urban civilizations, a transition known to historians as the “Neolithic Revolution.”

black history 365 days calendar: Black People Invented Everything Dr. Sujan K. Dass, 2020-02-01 Who invented the traffic light? What about transportation itself? Farming? Art? Modern chemistry? Who made…cats? What if I told you there was ONE answer to all of these questions? That one answer? BLACK PEOPLE! Seriously. And this book is like a mini-encyclopedia, full of more evidence than WikiLeaks and just as eye-opening! Do you know just how much Black inventors and creators have given to modern society? Within the past 200 years, Black Americans have drawn on a timeless well of inner genius to innovate and engineer the design of the world we live in today. Before white people invented the Patent Office, Black folks were the original creators and builders, developing ingenious ways to manage the world’s changes over millions of years, everywhere you can imagine, from Azerbaijan to Zagazig! With wit and wisdom (and tons of pictures!) this book digs deeper than the whitewashed history we learn in school books and explores how our African ancestors established the foundation of modern society! Have you inherited this genius? What can you do with it? Inspired by solutions from the past, we can develop strategies for a successful future!

black history 365 days calendar: Luke 10-24 Barbara E. Reid, Shelly Matthews, 2021-05-28 Because there are more women in the Gospel of Luke than in any other gospel, feminists have given it much attention. In this commentary, Shelly Matthews and Barbara Reid show that feminist analysis demands much more than counting the number of female characters. Feminist biblical interpretation examines how the female characters function in the narrative and also scrutinizes the workings of power with respect to empire, to anti-Judaism, and to other forms of othering. Matthews and Reid draw attention to the ambiguities of the text—both the liberative possibilities and the ways that Luke upholds the patriarchal status quo—and guide readers to empowering reading strategies.

Have you wondered if Christmas is really a pagan holiday? Did marketers invent Santa Claus? And what does a Christmas tree have to do with anti-slavery? We’ll learn which traditions come from the Bible and where other traditions derive. Have you ever considered who Jesus was named after? Or why Jesus’s genealogy is traced to Joseph if he’s not Jesus’s biological father? We’ll answer questions like these surrounding Jesus’s legacy. Maybe you’ve asked what was the Bethlehem star? Or have you heard that there wasn’t an inn or innkeeper? With these kinds of inquiries, we’ll look at the circumstances surrounding Jesus’s birth. Do we know if the magi were kings, astrologers, or magicians? Or could you name the oldest person that met baby Jesus? By interacting with these people who met Jesus on that first Christmas, we’ll join the cast of characters around the manger. As we explore the stories and traditions of Christmas together, we’ll ruin some past misconceptions, but in the process, I promise that we’ll rediscover Jesus.
