Dabei werden einige Geldwäscherisikoszenarien anhand verschiedener Konzernstrukturen analysiert und verglichen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es aufzuzeigen, wie sich vertikale Konzerne, horizontale Konzerne oder Mischkonzerne mit Risikosituationen auseinander setzen und welche Präventionsmaßnahmen implementiert werden können. Es wird angenommen, dass ein Konzern mit einem etablierten und gut funktionierenden CMS das Risiko minimieren kann, Opfer von Geldwäschedelikten zu werden. Die vorliegende Arbeit thematisiert, welche Rolle ein CMS im Unternehmen einnimmt, wie es aufgebaut werden kann und wie eine entsprechende Implementierung einen Konzern im Kampf gegen Geldwäsche unterstützen kann. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat das Institut der Deutschen Wirtschaftsprüfer e.V. (IDW) eine Arbeitsgruppe „Tax Compliance“ gegründet und einen Praxishinweis erarbeitet, der als Hilfestellung zur Entwicklung dienen soll. Neben dem deutschen Standardwerk wurde auch eine international gültige Norm veröffentlicht, die ISO 19600. Da ein solches IKS individuell auf die Unternehmensstruktur und -größe angepasst werden muss, werden in diesem Rahmen lediglich deutsche Großunternehmen gem. § 267 Abs. 3 HGB in der Rechtsform der Kapitalgesellschaft betrachtet.
