In this thesis, qualitative studies are conducted to evaluate which pre-conceptions about `chemistry as a science' teacher students possess and how students can be supported in developing an informed understanding as well as in practically transforming it. On the basis of the results a module for teacher education is developed which paves the way for authentic chemistry teaching. |
