Disclaimer: I never heard of Mr Whitten or Sloan before. I only did when checking the reviews on other books on same topic and at that point I had already finished writing mine. My book was not published for several months (close to a year) because I was scared of all the hate of the other reviews. that I feel we should not act this way as the more opinions we get on a subject, the better we can be informed on it. Criticizing others because they write on same book topic is like trying to silence other doctors because you only want info from just one person. We should not encourage a monopoly. I apologize beforehand if part of my book resemble his (which is inevitable since we are writing on same topic). Thank you for reading. |

can i use red light therapy with retinol: The Ultimate Guide to Red Light Therapy Ari Whitten, 2018-07-12 If there were a pill that was scientifically proven to help you look 10 years younger, lose fat, improve hormonal health, fight pain and inflammation, increase strength/endurance, heal faster, improve your brain health and increase your energy levels, it would be a billion-dollar blockbuster drug. Hundreds of millions of people would be told to start taking it by their doctors every day. And doctors all over the world would call it a miracle drug. Here's the crazy part: That drug exists. But it's not a pill. It's red light therapy! Did you know that light has the power to heal your body and optimize your health? Of course, everyone knows about the importance of vitamin D from sunlight (from UV light). But few are aware that there is another type of light that may be just as vital to our health - red and near-infrared light. Think it's all just hype? Think again! Believe it or not, there are now over 3,000 peer-reviewed scientific studies showing incredible health and anti-aging benefits of red and near-infrared light therapy. But it gets even better... While you used to have to spend $100 or more to get treatments done in a medical or anti-aging clinic (where this technology has been used for decades), new breakthroughs have allowed us to harness these benefits in the comfort of our own home, without the need to spend thousands on an expensive laser device or $100 per treatment at a health/anti-aging clinic. We can now do red light therapy at home, as much as we want, at a tiny fraction of the cost. In this book, Ari Whitten - bestselling author, health expert and founder of The Energy Blueprint - cuts through all the confusion, myths and pseudoscience around this complex topic, and takes you on a deep dive into the science of how to use red/near-infrared light therapy to improve your health, your body and your life in dozens of ways. Inside this book, you'll learn how to use red/near-infrared light therapy to: - Fight skin aging, wrinkles, and cellulite and look 10 years younger - Lose fat (nearly twice as with diet and exercise alone) - Rid your body of chronic inflammation - Fight the oxidative damage that drives aging - Increase strength, endurance, and muscle mass - Decrease pain - Combat hair loss - Build resilience to stress at the cellular level - Speed up wound/injury healing - Combat some autoimmune conditions and improve hormonal health - Optimize your brain function and mood - Overcome fatigue and improve energy levels You'll also get critical information to get the best results, including: - Specific dosing guidelines for every type of treatment (and how to avoid common mistakes) - The 5 bioactive types of light that affect human cell function and human health - Which health issues respond best to red/near-infrared light therapy - The big mistakes people make when giving themselves red light treatments (and exactly how to do treatments to get the best results) - The best light devices to get (and why most devices on the market are a waste of money) - Exact protocols for how to use red/near-infrared light therapy for everything from fat loss, to brain optimization, to skin anti-aging Optimal light exposure habits are as essential to good health as good nutrition habits. But the big problem is that, just as many people eat diets of processed junk food and fast food, most people are eating light diets of junk light and end up with chronic mal-illumination. This book will show you how to fix that. Red and near-infrared light therapy is one of the biggest health breakthroughs in the last half century. If you're serious about your health and improving your body, it's time to start using this powerful tool in your life. Buy this book NOW to become the healthier, happier, leaner, stronger, youthful person you've always known you could be. You deserve it! can i use red light therapy with retinol: Retinoids C.E. Orfanos, O. Braun-Falco, E.M. Farber, C. Grupper, M.K. Polano, R. Schuppli, 2012-12-06 With the aromatic retinoic acid analog Tigason oral and intravenous pharmacokinetic studies have been performed in 5 normal volunteers. Simultaneous fitting of single i. v. and oral data to a three-compartment model assuming first-order absorption was possible. Using Nonlin parameter estimates of the single-dose data, one is able to predict the decline in plasma levels of parent drug following cessation of a 10 days multiple dosing regimen up to 24 hours. The model is however unable to predict a phase of prolonged elimination observed beyond 24 hours. Moreover in 5 patients, who underwent chronic therapy (8-15 months), substantial plasma levels of both unchanged drug and main metabolite (corre sponding carboxylic acid) were observed up to 140 days after cessation of the therapy. An apparent half-life of elimination of 80-100 days can be calculated. The drug appears to be stored at some yet unknown storage site. Investigation of metabolism of Tigason in rats and humans revealed 19 different bio transformation products thus far, most of them appearing in the urine in low amounts (20010 of dose). A few of them (mainly the acid Ro 10-1670) after conjugation to glucuronic acid are excreted in the bile in high amounts (60-80% of dose). No drug appeared unchanged in the excreta after i. v. administration to rats. References 1. Bollag W (1971) Effects of vitamin A acid (NSC-122758) on transplantable and chemically-induced tumors. This series provides recommended intakes, such as Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs), for use in planning nutritionally adequate diets for individuals based on age and gender. In addition, a new reference intake, the Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL), has also been established to assist an individual in knowing how much is too much of a nutrient. Based on the Institute of Medicine's review of the scientific literature regarding dietary micronutrients, recommendations have been formulated regarding vitamins A and K, iron, iodine, chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum, zinc, and other potentially beneficial trace elements such as boron to determine the roles, if any, they play in health. The book also: Reviews selected components of food that may influence the bioavailability of these compounds. Develops estimates of dietary intake of these compounds that are compatible with good nutrition throughout the life span and that may decrease risk of chronic disease where data indicate they play a role. Determines Tolerable Upper Intake levels for each nutrient reviewed where adequate scientific data are available in specific population subgroups. Identifies research needed to improve knowledge of the role of these micronutrients in human health. This book will be important to professionals in nutrition research and education. |

Go, John Milner, 2011-05-02 Nutritional oncology is an increasingly active interdisciplinary field where cancer is investigated as both a systemic and local disease originating with the changes in the genome and progressing through a multi-step process which may be influenced at many points in its natural history by nutritional factors that could impact the prevention of cancer, the quality of life of cancer patients, and the risk of cancer recurrence in the rapidly increasing population of cancer survivors.Since the first edition of this book was published in 1999, the idea that there is a single gene pathway or single drug will provide a cure for cancer has given way to the general view that dietary/environmental factors impact the progression of genetic and cellular changes in common forms of cancer. This broad concept can now be investigated within a basic and clinical research context for specific types of cancer. This book attempts to cover the current available knowledge in this new field of nutritional oncology written by invited experts. This book attempts to provide not only the theoretical and research basis for nutritional oncology, but will offer the medical oncologist and other members of multidisciplinary groups treating cancer patients practical information on nutrition assessment and nutritional regimens, including micronutrient and phytochemical supplementation. The editors hope that this volume will stimulate increased research, education and patient application of the principles of nutritional oncology.NEW TO THIS EDITION:* Covers hot new topics of nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics in cancer cell growth * Includes new chapters on metabolic networks in cancer cell growth, nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics* Presents substantially revised chapters on breast cancer and nutrition, prostate cancer and nutrition, and colon cancer and nutrition* Includes new illustrations throughout the text, especially in the breast cancer chapter* Includes integrated insights into the unanswered questions and clearly defined objectives of research in nutritional oncology * Offers practical guidelines for clinicians advising malnourished cancer patients and cancer survivors on diet, nutrition, and lifestyle * Provides information on the role of bioactive substances, dietary supplements, phytochemicals and botanicals in cancer prevention and treatment |

What works for one rosacean as a regimen to control it may not work for another rosacean. Hence a rosacea sufferer presents the need for a basic understanding of rosacea in this book. Rosacea 101 will help you get control of this horrible rosacea beast. As a rosacea sufferer for many years I discovered in 1999 how to help control rosacea with diet. Over the years I have discovered what treatments rosacea sufferers have discussed works for them and noticed how frustrated rosacea can be. I founded the Rosacea Research & Development Institute in 2004 that is a 501 (c) (3) non?profit organization for rosaceans for finding the cure. |
