Learning harder/smarter is, ideally, the result of, among order things, how teachers teach their students. This is why this book covers also some issues related to learning, a process through which learners can move, individually and/or collectively, from being dependent to being independent with characters that are universally acceptable. In that sense, although the focus of this book seems to be in and around the teaching and learning of writing in general, in English as a foreign language (EFL) in particular, it may also be relevant for those who are interested in educational issues in general like how a teacher can be an inspiring one and not just a good or a superior one (Chapter Four) or how our schools should be redesigned in order to make them more effective in empowering our students in and beyond their formal educational processes (Chapter 9). We have to acknowledge that the articles presented in this book have been made public before, either in academic journals or in academic seminars. We believe that by transferring those articles into a book form the ideas we have discussed before can then have broader audience and, therefore, be more beneficial for its audience worldwide. We believe, however, that this book is not a perfect one. We are, therefore, looking forward to having any criticism from our readers to make it better in the future. |
